Join JPMorgan Chase as part of our Risk Management and Compliance team, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining the strength and resilience of our firm. As a member of the Market Risk team, you will collaborate with industry experts to identify, assess, and manage risk for our global businesses. Partnering with the Trading desk, you will help shape the firm's risk appetite. We value your perspective to drive innovation in risk management solutions. As a Market Risk Coverage Analyst in the Market Risk team, you will be at the forefront of risk management, working closely with the Trading desk to evaluate and manage the firm's risk exposure. You will be part of a collaborative team that values diverse perspectives and innovative thinking. Our team culture emphasizes inclusivity, creativity, and a commitment to excellence.
Job responsibilities

  • Monitor risk exposures, highlighting key risks and factors that drive the P&L, including market movements.
  • Innovate ways to identify threats and weaknesses in the risk profile, proactively bringing these to the attention of the trading business and the Market Risk management team.
  • Conduct regular risk and scenario analysis into various risk themes and communicate findings.
  • Develop an understanding of various products traded and their key risks.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in Market Risk, Trading, Research, other Markets roles
  • Team player and future leader with exceptional drive, creativity, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong skills in Excel required.
  • Lateral thinker, tenacious, detail-focused, and committed to getting things done.
  • Ability to collaborate with a wide variety of teams, including Trading and control groups.
  • Strong quantitative academic background. JPMorgan recruits from all academic disciplines.
  • Fluency in English is a prerequisite, along with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
