About the role 
This role offers a unique opportunity for an aspiring marketer to gain hands-on experience in the core functions of a professional Commercial Department. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with seasoned professionals across the marketing spectrum, gaining valuable insights from within the industry. While individual career paths may vary, this position has historically served as a strong foundation for growth, with many past team members advancing into broader roles within the commercial and marketing fields.  This role reports to the Senior Commercial Director. 

 

What you will do 

To provide administrative support to the Commercial Director, Director of Public Relations, and the marketing team, while contributing a consistently optimistic and positive attitude to team dynamics. 

 

What you bring 

•    College education in marketing or communications. Will consider equivalent experience. 

•    Previous administrative, hotel, and/or related experience required. 

•    Demonstrates a consistently optimistic attitude and positive thinking, contributing to a collaborative and uplifting team environment. 

•    Has a basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and how it can be used to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and evolve certain aspects of the role. 

•    Excellent reading, writing & oral proficiency in the English language. 

•    Required clerical responsibilities; typing, filing, photocopyingAble to handle a large volume of telephone calls in an efficient and courteous manner.   

•    Proficient in Microsoft Suite  

•    Familiarity with these programs are preferred, but not required, such as Opera, Golden, Wrike, 22 Miles, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Opera, Cision, Sprout, Traackr, Project Management software, social media channels such as Instagram, Facebook, X, and TikTok. 

•    Graphic design skills are a plus. 

•    Basic photography and video skills are a plus.  

•    Food and Beverage knowledge is a plus but not required   

•    Strong understanding of branding and visual design a plus. 

•    Works well under pressure, requires multitasking and being a team player. Detail oriented, well developed organizational skills and a strategic thinker.

Schedule & Hours: 

•    Full time 
•    The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day and scheduled days and times may vary based on need.
