At Converse, the Marketplace Supply Chain (MSC) team takes pride in servicing the consumer in the integrated marketplace – whether they shop at one of our retail partners, in a Converse store or online.

The MSC team plays a key role in supporting the Converse growth and delivering premium consumer experiences. Amongst other activities, we are responsible to maximize in-season service, revenue and margin while keeping the marketplace healthy. We do so in close partnerships with with commercial, logistics and consumer finance teams.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will be responsible for pre- and in-season orderbook management for strategic accounts in support sustainable and profitable growth for Converse. This role is accountable to drive a qualitative and healthy orderbook, achieving shipping targets and delivering right-sized customer service.

In this role you will develop a strong understanding of the integrated marketplace and supply chain operations processes. You’ll need to bring a strong retail and supply chain operations background, process improvement mindset and a natural curiosity to explore and solve problems.

To be effective, you’ll possess a passion for data and analytics, a high degree of comfort with ambiguity, an ability to simplify the complex and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. Your ability to set a direction and to prioritize will be important.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
  • Tracking to business goals: Drive the goal setting/forecasting process in close alignment with the integrated marketplace teams, and pro-actively track progress against goals within the season
  • Drive orderbook quality: Execute timely order book recon processes at the time of order entry. Collaborate with commercial and buying teams to maximize product availability and supply chain efficiency
  • Drive seasonal execution excellence pre- and in-season:
    • Make sure to monitor pre-season allocation and manage orderbook to deliver seasonal stories. Proactively flag product delays and order book gaps and take actions
    • Partner with the integrated marketplace teams to drive pro-active in-season management of holds, cancellations, returns, air freight requests, late orders, uncovered orders, launch dates etc in line with sell thru, marketplace reality and policy
  • Execute shipping: provide available orders reports to the account, receive and process IDP booking requests, work with distribution center, allocation support, carrier, monitor delivery performance and solve problems including rebooking
  • Manage Launch: monitor incubate and brand focus launches against predefined service parameters in support of brand initiatives
  • Deliver right-sized customer service to the accounts in line with the differentiated service model. Ensure operations & supply chain performance is monitored through specific metrics and drive actions to improve accordingly
  • Represent operations within the integrated marketplace teams to ensure a healthy marketplace and mutual profitable growth
  • Analyze internal processes, order book patterns and shipping performance and identify root causes to suggest and act upon process improvement opportunities. Drive an account development plan
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key account and cross functional stakeholders
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

In this role you will report to the Marketplace Supply Chain Manager. You will work closely with the accounts, commercial - and operations teams, marketplace planning and consumer finance.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in marketplace or supply chain operations roles, translating into a good understanding of supply chain processes
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a multinational consumer products environment, and a good understanding of consumer, retail and supplier/customer relationships
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills including excel reporting skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal English communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate and influence various levels within a matrix structure
  • Affinity with systems and technology like SAP and/or automation solutions.
  • Self-starter who can manage working through ambiguity, with a hands-on mentality combining speed and detail with quality in ways of working
  • Team player with ability to build and maintain strong cross functional relationships
  • Verbal and written communication skills in French is a plus
