Vantor is forging the new frontier of spatial intelligence, helping decision makers and operators navigate what’s happening now and shape what’s coming next. Vantor is a place for problem solvers, changemakers, and go-getters—where people are working together to help our customers see the world differently, and in doing so, be seen differently. Come be part of a mission, not just a job, where you can: Shape your own future, build the next big thing, and change the world.
Please review the job details below.
We are searching for the best and brightest to join a culture that is open and flexible, inclusive and positive. At Vantor, you’ll get the chance to grow, develop your skills, and collaborate with talented people who make a real difference for our clients worldwide.
From our R&D hub in Linköping, with around 80 engineers, we develop cutting-edge technology to deliver unparalleled, global, and precise 3D geospatial data and software. One of our software product enables drones to navigate without GPS, using advanced image matching against our reliable textured 3D map.
As drones are becoming a bigger part of everyday life—ranging from package delivery and rescue operations to monitoring and defense—our technology needs to evolve. One of the next challenges is improving image matching when drones fly at low altitudes with cameras not facing the ground.
About the Thesis Project
The thesis aims to investigate different methods for low-elevation image matching and evaluate their performance with respect to varying camera angles. The work will include:
- Data capture
- Software development
- Algorithm design and comparison
The project will be carried out at Vantor’s office in Linköping, Sweden.
Who We’re Looking For
We are searching for a Master’s student who is currently pursuing a degree in the field of image processing and/or computer vision, with a strong interest in software development and algorithm design.
What We Offer
- A chance to work hands-on with cutting-edge technology
- A supportive, inclusive, and innovative environment
- The opportunity to contribute to research that will directly impact the future of autonomous drone navigation and technology.
