We are looking for a Mid-Level Software Engineer with a strong background in Python development and expertise in Azure.

Requirements

What you will be working on/responsible for

  • Help build and maintain robust Azure service emulations, ensuring high reliability, accuracy, and performance
  • Contribute to the design and evolution of LocalStack’s underlying frameworks, helping shape the future of cloud emulation
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and developer relations teams to implement features that serve developers working with Azure environments.
  • Help develop scalable support processes as our company and user base grows, ensuring a seamless customer experience
  • Act as a liaison between users and the product team, ensuring that customer insights drive feature development and product improvements.
  • As our enterprise offering expands, work closely with large-scale customers who rely on LocalStack for their organization-wide cloud development.

Experience we expect you to bring to the role

  • 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a focus on cloud infrastructure.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud development, particularly in Azure environments (AWS/GCP experience is a plus).
  • Strong programming background, preferably in Python.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or Pulumi.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and scalable distributed systems.
