Team/Role Overview

The Senior Manager within Middle Office Oversight is responsible for multiple Middle Office clients. The role has responsibility for  Middle Office Oversight including OTC, Collateral, and trade processing. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all client deliverables are met. The Senior Manager is also responsible for ensuring that appropriate oversight and operational processes and controls are in place and operating effectively for both oversight and the production teams.

The Senior Manager will be responsible for all Middle Office oversight. Client ownership is key with a requirement to meet with clients on an ongoing basis through the year on their service across many Middle Office functions. The role will also be involved in client onboarding and implementing internal change & efficiencies to support business growth

What you will do:

  • Ensure that all client deliveries are met to agreed service level agreements and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure communication with clients, both internal and external, is effective.
  • Ensure that oversight controls and processes are effective and that these are reviewed on an ongoing basis with a focus on business risk
  • Ensure oversight of offshore teams is effective, and that feedback is given to the offshore team in the form of calls/issue logs to help keep accuracy levels high and quickly resolve issues.
  • Investigation and resolution of complex queries and client queries in a timely manner.
  • Develop strong, pro-active relationships with all internal and external customers.
  • Lead on projects and process improvements and the resultant training.
  • Working closely with other relevant operational peers to ensure that process risks are minimised.
  • Look for opportunities for efficiencies and drive new developments and enhancements forward for the team.
  • Deputise for Senior Manager at internal and external meetings.

What we'll need from you:

  • Significant management & interpersonal skills are essential
  • Knowledge of Middle Office services and clients
  • Experience using Aladdin would be a plus
  • Project Management skills will also be an advantage
  • Communication skills
  • Highly numerate
  • Pragmatism combined with a can-do attitude is a pre-requisite.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • A high energy level and an enquiring mind
