Role:  Midweight Copywriter - Digital & Social

Location:  Slough, United Kingdom ( Hybrid working - 2 days on site)

About the role:

We are looking for a social first Midweight Copywriter with a wealth of experience creating digital campaigns across social and digital platforms. You’ll join a team of social creatives to work both solo and collaboratively on projects ranging from integrated digital campaigns (with the AOR), always-on social campaigns, stand-alone creative campaigns and longer form digital content, alongside the day-to-day reactive content for a well-known consumer brand. This is a great opportunity to work within a growing team, creating impactful communications for a well-known brand that wants to push creative boundaries.

The ideal candidate will be someone with good foundations in digital, with a desire to create impactful, award-winning and best-in-class stand-out digital and social work. Absolute knowledge of all major social media platforms is a must as well as an understanding and desire to tailor creative ideas for them. You’ll ideally be from a digital/social/integrated agency background with around 3 years’ experience. The role is fast-paced and responsive, working across multiple different projects and clients within the group. You will form part of a team that delivers the following:

  • UX & experience design
  • Creative, copywriting & design
  • Paid & optimisation

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Work on projects from start to finish — working collaboratively across teams on ideation, asset creation and implementation.
  • Produce creative work with a clear rationale to accompany the work.
  • Create digital assets, social media assets, videos, GIFs, MEMEs, and different event and campaign collateral.
  • Pull together decks to showcase your work to the client and include best-in-class creative references to help sell it in.
  • Write headlines for social and digital with a clear idea focus.
  • Write long copy and SEO articles for the client’s brands.
  • Use existing assets and stock imagery to come up with relevant and up-to-date content.
  • Keep up to date with current digital and creative trends.
  • Create work to the client’s brief and exacting standards.
  • Develop an effective working relationship with colleagues and client and provide excellent customer service.
  • Effectively manage workloads within agreed timescales.
  • Proactively monitor quality, accuracy and consistency.
  • Look for ways to develop new creative within the guidelines, marketing and production opportunities.
  • Work proactively under your own initiative and as part of the creative team.

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Strong conceptual skills and an understanding of UK creative campaigns and why they work.
  • Passionate about digital & social media and an understanding of the latest innovations across platforms.
  • Love working in a fast-paced adaptable environment.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication skills – able to express yourself clearly.
  • Ability to adhere to internal processes, including following brand guidelines.
  • Good eye for detail.
  • Desire to learn and offer new skills without being prompted.
  • A background in social media implementation and creative.
  • Be able to put a crafted creative deck together.
