You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with demonstrated applied experience in mobile application development.
- Extensive experience developing mobile applications using modern frameworks and libraries (e.g., Swift/SwiftUI/Combine for iOS, Kotlin/Jetpack Compose/Coroutines for Android).
- Practical knowledge of mobile platform security best practices, including secure data storage, encryption, and authentication.
- Experience building reusable libraries, frameworks, components, and APIs for mobile platforms.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in backend development using languages such as Java or Python, including designing, developing, and integrating robust server-side logic and APIs to support mobile applications.
- Hands-on experience with database development and management
- Practical experience in backend cloud engineeringand maintenance using platforms such as AWS, Kubernetes, or Cloud Foundry, including deploying, scaling, and monitoring cloud-based applications.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large-scale, corporate environment, including working with database querying languages.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies such as CI/CD, resiliency, and security.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within technical disciplines such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile technologies.
