In this dynamic National Pro Artist role, you will lead Hourglass artistry for the region with an aim of elevating artistry skill and igniting passion for Hourglass Cosmetics. This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional makeup artist and passionate educator, with talent in developing and executing artistry focused educational masterclasses for both internal and consumer-facing audiences. This position requires outstanding high-level artistry skill and well-established expertise in luxury beauty brands, extensive experience in delivering artistry education strategies and masterclasses, and ability to elevate internal and external marketing events and high-profile brand activations. It is critical for the candidate to have brand ambassador experience, highly poised, articulate, and polished presence, high-level presenting skills, a strategic approach to identifying and optimising opportunities, superior attention to detail, and a passion for developing and growing team skill.
This position reports to the Retail Director UK&I, and partners closely with Executive Director of Education, Sales & Education Managers, Marketing, and Education & Events Executives.
WHAT YOU DO:
Artistry Development

  • Act as the ultimate brand ambassador bringing the brand's artistry, voice, and luxury approach, from the global brand to our regional teams.
  • Artistry talent in educational and consumer facing masterclasses and videos; bringing dynamic, inspiring artistry content to our audiences, teaching skill in a simplified way while captivating audiences and inspiring brand love.
  • Lead the artistry development and coaching of our sales team and artists across the region. Upskilling and supporting artistry enhancement with our retail artists with regular training and eventing. Supporting with implementing regular artist training to continue to keep up with industry trends and always inspiring our retail team to build on their artistry knowledge in line with brand expectations.
  • Artistry point person and liaison for social, PR, and Marketing, lending artistry insights, tips, and techniques to achieve channel-specific content and engagement goals.
  • Support various developmental high-level trainings for our field and store teams in partnership with our Global Artistry Team.

Education Development

  • Support the development of Hourglass artistry education programmes that elevate field and store team artistry skill. Develop looks, techniques, and service experiences that are suitable for the given markets to ensure brand continuity & brand aesthetic within a local region.
  • Support the Education and Events Execs in the field with eventing and training programmes continuing to upskill our retail team on artistry knowledge and industry insights to continue to build and elevate the Hourglass experience.  
  • Lead with the service protocol for in-store services and develop training programs to ensure field and store teams are delivering exceptional, luxury makeup services.
  • Feed into Global Education & Artistry team to ensure they are creating fresh and engaging content that is market relevant to educate consumers, field, and store teams around artistry tips and technique, application methods, how-to's, and product demonstrations.
  • Facilitate trainings and assessments to grow the artistry skillset of our teams.
  • Ensure excellence in execution within all artistry programs and initiatives with high attention to detail and strong ability to master juggling multiple competing priorities across functions

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years' experience in education artistry within the beauty industry.
  • Extensive experience hosting educational videos as the feature talent (social, Education, live shows, etc.) with ability to provide examples.
  • Deep understanding of the current beauty industry trends, artistry techniques, and looks.
  • Excellent project management skills, ability to deliver multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities and meet competing deadlines; maintain creative and active problem solving to drive on time and quality delivery for all projects and partner with various levels in the organization.
  • Effective communicator, strong relationship-building skills and proven record of cross-functional partnerships.
  • Thrive in an environment that is fast paced, rapidly changing and able to handle multiple priorities while meeting objectives, works well under pressure.
