Position: .NET Software Engineer

Location: Labman HQ, Seamer, North Yorkshire

Salary: £40,000 - £65,000 (based on experience)

What you will do:

  • Developing and maintaining software solutions for Labman’s advanced robotic automation platforms and internal systems, adhering to high-quality coding standards and contributing to system design through code reviews.
  • Staying current with emerging technologies and techniques, collaborating with the team to implement innovations in future systems.
  • Providing support for existing systems in the field, while engaging with customers to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Mentoring colleagues and contributing to their professional growth, while collaborating with global organizations and public bodies.
  • Working within a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team to achieve shared objectives and drive success.

What Essentials you bring:

  • At least 2 years of experience with the Microsoft .NET framework and 1 year with WPF and XAML development.
  • Familiar with MVVM design methodology and strong C# development skills.
  • Solid understanding of software development techniques like separation of concerns, dependency injection, and object-oriented programming.
  • Database development experience with MySQL and embedded databases.
  • Proficient in producing documentation with strong English literacy skills.
  • Effective collaborator with strong communication skills.
  •  Ability to work within the Labman ISO9001 framework, adhering to strict coding conventions.

Desirable skills:

  • Experience with industrial communication interfaces (RS232, Ethernet, CAN, Modbus, EtherCAT) and industrial PLC systems.
  • Web development experience, preferably with .NET Core and JavaScript, along with strong UI/UX design skills.
  • Mobile application development experience using Xamarin.
  • Background in automation industry, with an interest in electrical or mechanical engineering and practical skills.
