Our operations are organised into three distinct divisions: Landscape Products, Building Products, and Roofing Products and it is within our Falkirk Landscape products manufacturing site that we are looking to recruit and Operations Team Manager

Marshalls Landscaping delivers innovative hard landscaping solutions for projects across the UK, from city centre transformations and public realm schemes to housing developments and community spaces. So what's the mission?
You'll lead the operations team and operational activities for the West Press Department, some of which include overall safe operation of plant and equipment, safety, quality, waste and OEE targets, and people management. You’ll ensure that process control checks and records are completed to company standards and escalation and management of quality incidents through a non-conformance process, guaranteeing all affected products or material is contained/controlled.
We pride ourselves on Health, Safety and Quality so you will maintain a safe working environment for all by behaving in a way consistent with safe working and proactively challenging colleagues if they are taking unnecessary risks. You’ll support a zero-tolerance approach to breaches in safety standards, ensuring that everything within the assigned department/shift is compliant with policies/procedures and associated site controls.
As a team player and people person, you’ll deliver team briefs/toolbox talks promptly and in the spirit in which they are intended whilst ensuring that any initiatives are embraced and actioned in line with company guidelines.
What are the mission-critical skills?

  • Excellent people leadership skills
  • Experience in maximising the potential of others including development and performance management
  • Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Knowledge and understanding of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
  • Experience in implementing continuous improvement/lean manufacturing techniques e.g. DMAIC, would be an advantage
  • IOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH General Certificate and other relevant qualifications e.g. ILM, Lean Six Sigma desirable
