The Technical Infrastructure team supports and evolves the hybrid technology platforms that underpin the SS&C Hubwise wealth platform. We operate across private data centres and AWS, delivering secure, resilient, and highly available services. The team works closely with internal stakeholders and third-party providers to ensure our infrastructure continues to meet business and regulatory needs.

What You Will Get To Do:

  • Maintain, support, and enhance a hybrid infrastructure environment spanning private data centres and AWS.
  • Design, configure, and administer AWS services including VPCs, EC2, load balancers, IAM, security groups, and monitoring.
  • Support and manage Linux and Windows Server environments, including web and application services.
  • Administer and troubleshoot enterprise networking including routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi, and firewall platforms.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex infrastructure, network, and cloud incidents.
  • Work with managed service providers and vendors to ensure infrastructure services meet performance, availability, and security requirements.
  • Implement and improve monitoring, alerting, and operational readiness to support 24/7 global operations.
  • Contribute to infrastructure projects including upgrades, migrations, capacity planning, and new service deployments.
  • Apply cloud automation and deployment approaches to infrastructure and compute services, supporting scalable and repeatable environments.
  • Document systems, processes, and changes, contributing to operational knowledge and continuous improvement.

What You Will Bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a senior IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or similar role.
  • Strong hands-on experience supporting hybrid environments across AWS and private infrastructure.
  • Proven experience configuring and administering AWS services such as VPC, EC2, load balancers, IAM, and security controls.
  • Awareness of cloud automation and deployment strategies, including infrastructure-as-code or automated provisioning and build/deploy tooling.
  • Strong Linux and Windows Server administration skills.
  • Solid networking fundamentals and experience with enterprise firewalls (e.g. Fortinet or equivalent).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills across systems, networks, and cloud services.
  • Experience working with third-party providers and managed data centre environments.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of complex issues, and drive solutions through to completion.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
