The role, in a nutshell:

We’re looking for highly motivated Sales (Partner) Engineers who have strong technical knowledge, understand how to quickly get to a technical win, and enjoy building relationships with key decision makers to evangelize building secure and reliable software. Our sales team walks a mile in their customers shoes and wants our customers and prospects to see the immense value and expertise Chainguard's solutions offer.


What you’ll do:

  • Fully enable our Partner Sales and Technical teams to help potential customers evaluate and prove the value of our solution
  • Focus on acquiring new customer “logos” in addition to growing existing customer base
  • Own all technical aspects of partner led opportunities and assisting current customers understand the value of Chainguard
  • Day to day responsibilities include:
    • Listen to our partners and their potential to understand challenges
    • Conduct product demonstrations and POVs/POCs
    • Actively participate in webinars, meetups, conferences and other marketing initiatives
    • Work with Sales teams to build partnership in key regions 
    • Create technical evangelists in partner community
    • Build relationships with Solution Architects in CSP’s
    • Provide product feedback to Chainguard from Partner community

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years experience working as a Sales Engineer / Presales Engineer in the Partner ecosystem
  • Ability to bring contacts and network to grow the Chainguard partner ecosystem working alongside the EMEA Partner Manager
  • Experience with MEDDPICC and or Command of the Message sales frameworks
  • Experience selling into Enterprise and Mid Market prospects
  • Experience in the following areas:
    • Container technologies (Kubernetes, Serverless, Docker)
    • Cloud technology (AWS, Azure, Google, etc.)
    • Cloud security or containers security
  • Your passion for technology, success, and for your team
  • Smart and passionate people that can persevere to success.
  • People acting as trusted advisors, able to build credibility with customers.
  • Strong team players committed to help and mentor their peers.
