About the Role

We’re looking for a Performance Analyst to join on one of our projects we're delivering for our public sector client. In this role, you’ll play a key part in helping teams across the department make data-driven decisions, measure performance, and improve services for millions of users.

As a Performance Analyst, you will work alongside service and product teams to define meaningful metrics, evaluate service performance, and provide insights that support continuous improvement and accountability.

Contract Type: Fixed-term Contract
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and maintain performance frameworks and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) across digital and operational services.

  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including product managers, service designers, user researchers, and developers to support service improvements through data.

  • Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that inform decision-making.

  • Support in establishing and embedding performance measurement approaches within new and existing services.

  • Apply appropriate tools and techniques such as A/B testing, funnel analysis, cohort analysis, and root cause analysis.

  • Ensure data quality and integrity, working with data engineers and data scientists where required.

  • Champion data-driven culture and best practices across teams.

  • Present findings to stakeholders at all levels, from operational staff to senior leadership.


Essential Skills and Experience
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in using data to drive decisions and measure service performance.

  • Proficient in tools such as Google Analytics, SQL, Excel, R or Python, and data visualisation platforms like Power BI or Tableau.

  • Experience working in agile delivery environments, ideally within the public sector or large-scale organisations.

  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders through data storytelling and evidence-based recommendations.

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with Government Digital Service (GDS) service standards and performance frameworks is desirable.


Desirable Experience
  • Understanding of user-centred design, digital transformation, or service delivery within government settings.

  • Previous experience working in the public sector.

  • Experience contributing to or leading performance reviews, service assessments, or continuous improvement projects.
