About the role

We’re looking for a driven and ambitious PR Account Executive who wants to develop their career within an award-winning, top UK network agency. This is pivotal role within the Edinburgh or Glasgow office, where you’ll be responsible for delivering excellent day-to-day client work, playing a key support role within the team.  

Our Scotland team has recently won some fantastic new, international clients so you'll get an opportunity to work directly with our international network. In addition, our client mix is broad so you’ll be exposed to both consumer and corporate accounts, across Scotland and the UK, so it’s a fantastic opportunity to gain invaluable experience!


The day to day

  • You’ll play a crucial role in the delivery of PR campaigns for your clients including developing compelling press releases, landing media coverage, engaging with influencers, and delivering social media campaigns. 
  • Media relations activities, including media monitoring, trends analysis, opportunity-spotting and media liaison 
  • Build and manage media and forward feature lists, recommending appropriate opportunities to target 
  • Conduct effective media sell-ins, identifying the most advantageous opportunities for client coverage 
  • Communicate accurately, keeping the team and client informed on progress in accordance with agreed processes, ensuring expectations are managed and any issues are escalated in a timely fashion 
  • Organise client meetings, helping to prepare agendas and sharing follow up actions. 
  • Deliver accurate written communications with the ability to write a range of copy including: press releases, quotes, emails, status & contact reports, social media materials 
  • Manage departmental administration whilst supporting the team, ensuring internal processes are followed 
  • Build and manage top-tier media relationships 
  • Assist in the new business process including participating in brainstorm meetings, research and proposal preparation
  • Monitor the media landscape for new opportunities to sell in additional Grayling products and services to clients to enhance revenue and profitability
