Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Pricing Advisory professional. This role is crucial for helping our diverse client base—insurance pricing teams—elevate the sophistication and effectiveness of their pricing strategies and operations. The successful candidate will leverage their deep industry experience to consult on best practices, analytical methods, and technological integration.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Consultation: Work directly with client pricing teams to assess their current capabilities, identify gaps in sophistication, and recommend actionable strategies for improvement.

  • Strategic Development: Assist clients in developing advanced pricing models, incorporating new data sources, and optimizing rate-setting methodologies.

  • Implementation Support: Guide clients through the implementation of new pricing tools, software, and analytical frameworks.

  • Knowledge Transfer: Conduct workshops and training sessions for client teams on cutting-edge pricing techniques, regulatory compliance, and market dynamics.

  • Stakeholder Management: Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders, translating complex analytical concepts into clear, business-focused insights.

  • Travel: Travel is required to meet with clients at their locations to deliver consulting services.

QualificationsExperience

The ideal candidate must demonstrate a strong background in insurance pricing:

  • Minimum of 3+ years, and ideally 5+ years, of direct experience within an insurance pricing team (P&C).

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing complex pricing models (e.g., GLMs, machine learning techniques).

  • Experience in consulting or advisory services is a plus.

Skills and Attributes
  • Analytical Excellence: Superior quantitative and analytical skills with proficiency in pricing software , experience with statistical packages for programming languages is a plus.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Multilingualism (Huge Advantage): The ability to speak multiple languages is a significant advantage due to our international client base.

  • Travel: Willingness and ability to travel frequently to client sites.

  • Problem-Solving: A proactive and strategic approach to overcoming complex business and technical challenges.

The Main Challenge

The core challenge of this role is to successfully help the pricing teams of our clients to develop the sophistication of their pricing. This involves moving teams beyond traditional actuarial methods to embrace modern data science techniques, real-time pricing, and advanced portfolio management, all while navigating regulatory constraints and organizational change.
