About the role

(Hybrid)

We’re hiring a Principal Data Product Manager to drive the strategy and execution of foundational data products within the Core Data Tribe. This is a senior IC role for our Marketing & Content Data Foundational data product areas—critical capabilities that help teams across Skyscanner make informed decisions and unlock growth.

The role ideal for an experienced product manager who thrives in getting their sleeves rolled up and connecting the dots across business, engineering, and analytics to deliver high-impact data solutions. Whether you’ve honed these skills within a product-led organisation or come from a data-rich environment elsewhere, you’ll find support and opportunity to grow here.

What you’ll be doing

  • Define and execute product strategies for foundational and analytical data products
  • Partner with stakeholders across disciplines to identify user needs and innovation opportunities
  • Prioritise features, use cases, and requirements that deliver meaningful business value
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, analytics, and data science teams to deliver impactful products
  • Establish and track KPIs that demonstrate the value and effectiveness of your products
  • Gather and analyse feedback and trends to guide continuous improvement
  • Champion transparency with regular product updates to stakeholders
  • Provide thought leadership on data product best practices and influence strategy across the organisation

About you

  • Excellent communicator and collaborator, skilled at connecting cross-functional teams
  • Experience defining product roadmaps and executing strategy in complex environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across product, marketing, finance, commercial, and tech
  • Comfortable querying datasets directly (e.g. with SQL) to guide product insights
  • Knowledge of data concepts like warehousing, ETL, dimensional modelling, machine learning
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to identify and resolve delivery blockers proactively
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities
  • Passionate about driving business impact through data products
