About the role

The Procurement Analyst will support a small, friendly Global Procurement team managing all aspects of procurement in a growing management and technology consulting firm focused on the Finance sector. A new graduate or junior professional will be responsible in particular for monitoring and reporting compliance with our firm procurement policies, standards and procedures across 20 countries globally. You will play an active role in developing our Global Procurement standards and policies, providing commercial guidance to managers and employees and helping us foster procurement advocacy and professional standards across the organisation. Broad categories of spend range across facilities, IT, marketing, corporate, HR and other ad hoc requirements as required by a business focused on the delivery of leading-edge solutions to our clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish an approved supplier list working with Finance and local teams to ensure spend is consolidated across a number of approved, centralised suppliers.
  • Review and approve new supplier requests in line with the procurement policy.
  • Provide guidance to local teams on how to comply with the procurement policy.
  • Report and monitor compliance with the procurement policy.
  • Develop and gain business buy-in to sourcing strategies at all levels/categories of spend.
  • Assist in the development of procurement processes to improve the organisations control environment.
  • Work on other procurement related projects and activities as a member of the global procurement team

Job experience

  • Qualified to Degree level and /or MCIPS preferable.
  • Awareness of procurement processes and policies, within a professional or financial services organisation preferrable but not essential.
  • Proficient in Excel and able to analyse large data sets.
  • Proven capacity to manage a number of projects and competing demands in a busy team

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Influence and positively challenge stakeholders.
  • Ability to work and communicate clearly across cultures including with colleagues and suppliers having English as their second language. 
  • Self-starter, ability to work with minimal supervision and to deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Easy to work with.
