About Us

MarketAxess is on a journey to digitally transform one of the world’s largest financial markets, enabling the shift from analog, phone-based trading to a fully electronic marketplace. Why does this matter? Because our platform makes trading fixed-income more accessible, ultimately improving transparency, efficiency, and competition in the marketplace. Changing the way an established industry transacts is no easy feat. There will be twists and turns, because no one’s ever done this before. But now, more than 2,000 clients around the world rely on our solutions, and that number is only expected to grow in the years ahead. We know where we’re going. How we get there is up to us. Join us and help Take Us There.

The Role

We are looking to hire a technically curious, commercially minded Product Associate to help scale our Data & Analytics business. This role sits at the intersection of product development, support, and sales enablement with a strong focus on AI-driven automation, client-facing analytics, and product storytelling.

The successful candidate will help automate day-to-day data requests, support sophisticated client use cases, and play a key role in bringing new data products to market. They will also act as an internal champion for AI adoption across the data organisation.

Working within our data product team, the role involves close collaboration with business and technical stakeholders across the firm to support product development initiatives and drive adoption by our clients.

How You’ll Help Take Us There

Product Development & Support

  • Contribute to the launch of new data and analytics products, helping to prioritise enhancements that drive the greatest revenue impact.
  • Provide support for Level 0 and Level 1 production support activities.
  • Work with stakeholders to maintain a clear internal narrative: what the product is, what it isn't, and why it exists.
  • Monitor competitor data products to understand feature sets, methodologies, delivery models, and positioning; use findings to inform product differentiation opportunities.
  • Support existing data and analytics products as a subject matter expert. Utilise your data science and analysis skillset to investigate issues and provide sales with answers to technical questions.
  • Partner with the Trading product team to identify new use cases for data within trading workflows.

Client Analytics & Sales Enablement

  • Develop Jupyter notebooks and analytical assets that clients can ingest directly, supporting a sales strategy aimed at more sophisticated data users.
  • Use data to create charts, graphs, and visual insights for external marketing purposes, including pitch decks, product materials, and thought-leadership content.
  • Support data sales conversations with key accounts by translating complex data methodologies into clear, compelling sales and marketing materials.
  • Gather client feedback and conduct user research to understand what is driving client behaviour; use this data to inform product decisions and produce insightful material that will drive product usage.

AI & Automation

  • Help automate recurring data requests and data product support using agentic AI workflows, with experience of tools such as Copilot strongly preferred.
  • Champion the practical use of AI across the data business to improve efficiency, scalability, and client experience.
  • Evaluate opportunities to leverage ML and AI capabilities within data products to enhance client outcomes.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, data science, and design teams to ensure coherent, high-quality product delivery.
  • Clearly communicate product progress, priorities, and insights to cross-functional teams and stakeholders; be comfortable showcasing progress through demos and walkthroughs.
  • Play an active role in the Product Management community, helping to grow capability in these areas.

  • Able to explain complex concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to drive product decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Office, Slack.
