The Team
The Product Analytics team, part of the larger Data Team, comprises 25 members spanning 11 countries. We support over 100 product teams and, in 2024, guided the launch of 1,000 product releases.
This role is within the Contracts Data Unit—a tight-knit team of 6, including analysts, analytics engineers, and an analytics manager—now seeking a new analyst to look after the Independent Contractors side of the business.
Our mission?
To measure and optimise contract-related product features for a seamless customer experience. The Contracts Unit is pivotal to Data Analytics, impacting revenue, operations, sales, marketing, and customer satisfaction. We prioritise collaboration across data teams and the broader business to build a scalable, consistent analytics structure that supports growth while keeping client satisfaction at the forefront.
Duties
In this role, you will leverage your expertise in data analysis to collaborate closely with Product Managers, Operations, and Development teams. Your primary goal will be to generate actionable insights that drive product strategy and optimize performance within Deel's Independent Contractor (IC) vertical. Your responsibilities will include:

Insight Generation: Work closely with cross-functional teams to address various challenges, transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights that inform product development and strategy.

Performance Monitoring: Oversee the performance of product features and releases by defining baselines and success metrics. Provide recommendations for optimization based on thorough analysis.

Domain Expertise Development: Develop deep domain knowledge in your dedicated product areas to proactively derive meaningful recommendations and insights that drive product strategy.

A/B Testing: Assist in the design and evaluation of A/B tests aimed at enhancing customer journeys and improving user experience.

Data Visualization: Develop user-friendly dashboards and high-quality data visualizations that drive actions and support decision-making processes.

Data Exploration: Explore large and complex datasets to uncover actionable insights that support strategic initiatives.

Data Modeling: Collaborate with Analytics Engineers to build data models in dbt, ensuring clean data structures and key performance indicators (KPIs) for your product areas.
Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics or equivalent degree

3+ years’ experience in data analytics

Hands on experience in LookML (Looker)

Solid experience with Data Modelling (DBT)

Strong strategic vision and business mindset.

Demonstrable interest in and knowledge of HR services topics is highly relevant.
