We are looking for a Product Manager Biostat STR Hardware (x|w|m) for the PM Manufacturing Bioreactor Technologies department at Sartorius Stedim Biotech GmbH. In this role, you will be responsible for the success of your product portfolio from conception to commercialization, ensuring growth and market competitiveness. You make data-driven decisions and advocate for your products, addressing customer needs and future trends. This strategic role involves developing and executing a comprehensive portfolio strategy and interacting with key customers and stakeholders.
The team is looking forward to shaping the future with you. This position is available for full-time. It is a hybrid role requiring some days on site with the opportunity to work some days remotely.

  • Define and execute product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with company goals, using feedback to meet expectations

  • Influence product-related decisions, addressing critical issues proactively

  • Adapt to market changes, customer needs, and competitive pressures to drive organizational agility

  • Use customer insights, market research, and industry trends to identify unmet needs and opportunities

  • Develop business cases from customer needs and trends, aligning stakeholders and validating reviews

  • Advocate for the product portfolio, engaging with key customers and building relationships to enhance reputation

  • Lead product from concept to market, ensuring it meets customer needs and business objectives

  • Prioritize and develop new product offerings, balancing short-term urgencies and long-term evolution

  • Create value propositions and communicate them effectively to the market

  • Guide operations on expected volumes, margin expectations, and market vision, providing timely updates on exceptions

  • Use technology understanding to develop solutions, adapting to customer needs and market dynamics

  • Manage product lifecycle, optimizing performance through customer feedback and data

What will convince us

  • Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Life Science or a related field

  • Seasoned professional experience in Life Science, several years in a complex customer-facing role, ideally in sales or within a customer in the pharma industry; a major plus is having meaningful experiences across different functions (PD, Ops, Sales, Marketing etc.)

  • Role-model leader and team player able to rally all relevant parties to focus on key priorities, bringing diverse teams on the same page and facilitating cross-functional collaboration

  • Outstanding presence, influencing and presentation skills to engage with key stakeholders on eye level in a compelling way

  • Good understanding of customer workflows, needs and related market dynamics, coupled with the strong ability to translate such understanding into customer centric solutions and to orchestrate their launch and implementation

  • Outstanding decision-making skills, able to make complex and timely decisions in line with available data, strategic context and professional values when there are unknowns

  • Fluent in English and willing to travel up to 50% as this role is heavily focused on external customers
