Role Overview:

As a Product Manager, you will work within the Central Product Management team at PlayStation Studios. You’ll collaborate with a small central team and other partners (analytics, marketing, etc.) to help build, launch, and manage successful live service games, while helping studios to build out embedded product management capabilities!

This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in product management and experience and appreciation for game design! Under the guidance of the Director of Product Management, you will partner with multiple teams to use your knowledge of systems, mechanics, and player experience to inform product feature development and product success.

What you'll be doing:
  • Support product management across multiple live and upcoming titles from PlayStation Studios to help effectively build out capabilities and successfully launch and manage their live service titles.
  • Work closely with cross-functional groups across analytics, marketing, and studio partners to assess systems and mechanics that drive retention and monetization opportunities.
  • Write and assess design specs and mockups, identify and quantify risks, and assess mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with game designers to translate creative vision into hypotheses, measurable product goals and KPIs and work with analytics, product management and studios to evaluate performance over time.
  • Use data to influence design and business priorities to enhance long-term player satisfaction.
  • Communicate performance results and actionable recommendations to both product and studio feature team stakeholders, connecting player experience to business outcomes.
  • Highlight opportunities for product performance growth for various titles, and support improvement initiatives to a successful outcome with analysis and reporting.
  • Provide hands-on support to studios across various core competencies from feature design to live content, performance reporting and market knowledge.
  • Help share best practices to support game studios standing up and evolving their processes and capabilities.
What we're looking for:
  • Experience in product management for live service games, preferably on AAA Console/PC titles.
  • Understand, conceptualize, and abstract the design of game systems, features, and mechanics, providing recommendations.
  • Experience in writing and reviewing feature design documentation and assessing feature impact on game economy, monetization, retention and player experience.
  • Data fluency and working experience of partnering with analytics, research, and insights groups.
  • Solid grasp of statistics, hypothesis testing, and experimental design for live game features.
  • Proven business and market awareness with analytical capabilities, using data to inform decisions.
  • Social intelligence, great interpersonal skills, excellent communication and empathy for creative teams.
  • Working knowledge of different types of games, genres, and business models (F2P, premium, cosmetic economy, etc.).
  • Experience working with publishing partners (marketing, release management, store, etc.).
  • Deep passion for games and ability to evaluate and break down the components of what makes a successful live game.

Benefits:

  • Discretionary bonus opportunity
  • Hybrid Working (within Flexmodes)
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Dental Scheme
  • 25 days holiday per year
  • On Site Gym
  • Access to cycle garage and showers
