About the role:
We are looking for a Product Manager to own and evolve the end-to-end learner experience across our platform. This role is focused on making learning feel relevant, easy, and worth coming back to at scale, using strong product craft, deep customer empathy, and a clear bias toward personalisation and intelligent assistance.
You will focus on increasing learner engagement, improving time-to-value for new learners, and building experiences that help people discover, progress through, and return to learning with confidence. This is not a “backlog maintenance” role. It is an opportunity to make the learner experience a strategic advantage that defines what an LXP should feel like, balancing relevance, depth, simplicity, and scale.
In addition, you will be expected to use modern AI tools in your day-to-day product work to move faster with higher quality. This includes accelerating discovery synthesis, turning ambiguity into clear decisions, improving communication, and increasing the efficiency of routine PM workflows, while maintaining high standards of judgment and accountability.

What You Will Be Doing
Roles and responsibilities include:
- Own the learner experience strategy and outcomes: Define a clear vision, principles, and roadmap for how learners discover, engage with, and progress through learning on the platform. Translate this into measurable outcomes (for example: weekly active learners, time-to-first-value, completion rates, skill velocity, and return frequency)
- Personalise through intelligent defaults and AI: Continuously identify the moments where a learner is stuck on “what should I do next” and replace them with personalised recommendations, adaptive pathways, AI-assisted discovery, and smart content surfacing. Build experiences that anticipate the learner’s next step rather than waiting to be asked.
- Design for engagement, habit, and return Partner with Design, Data, and Engineering to build the loops that make the platform somewhere learners come back to without being chased: home surface, mobile, notifications, streaks, social signals, and weekly rhythm — done with restraint, not gamified noise.
- Make personalisation understandable and trustworthy: Create clear mental models for why the platform is recommending what it is. Ensure the learner experience is predictable and explainable, especially when AI, recommendations, and adaptive systems are doing the work behind the scenes.
- Build skills- and content-driven discovery tooling: Deliver capabilities that help learners find the right thing from across internal courses, external content, peer contributions, and AI-generated resources, and connect what they consume to the skills they are trying to grow. Make “what should I learn next” answered well.
- Customer discovery and problem definition: Develop a deep understanding of learner jobs-to-be-done across personas — frontline, knowledge worker, manager, new hire, expert. Run structured discovery with learners, L&D leaders, and customer teams to find root causes, not just symptoms.
- AI-assisted product management: Use AI responsibly to enhance day-to-day PM workflows, including synthesizing research, drafting and iterating documentation, generating UX and acceptance options, maintaining high-signal records, and automating analysis and reporting.
- Partner cross-functionally to deliver end-to-end improvements: Work with Product, Design, Engineering, AI, Content, Skills, Support, Implementation, and Customer Success to improve the full learner lifecycle: first session, weekly engagement, skill progression, social learning, content discovery, and re-engagement.
- Measure and iterate using strong feedback loops: Define success metrics, build dashboards, and use a mix of qualitative and quantitative signals (product analytics, learner interviews, support data, A/B testing) to prioritise work and validate impact.
Who We Are Looking For
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Strong product craft for engagement-driven experiences: You have shipped products where end-user engagement — not just admin sign-off — decided whether the product won. You know how to balance personalisation with predictability, and how to make a product feel curated rather than cluttered
- Personalisation and “intelligent system” mindset: You consistently look for opportunities to make the system do more of the work: predicting what is relevant, removing unnecessary choice, and surfacing the right thing at the right time. You care about explainability, edge cases, and the operational realities of recommendation and AI systems.
- Practical AI fluency for PM workflows: You have hands-on experience using AI tools to improve the speed and quality of product work. You know where AI is strong (drafting, synthesis, pattern-finding, summarization) and where it can mislead (confidence without evidence). You verify outputs and keep decision-quality high.
- Systems thinking for content, skills, and discovery: You can map end-to-end learner journeys, spot drop-off points, and design for engagement at scale. You are comfortable collaborating on topics like recommendation systems, skills frameworks, content models, search, and AI feature design.
- Data-informed decision making: You are comfortable defining metrics, instrumenting workflows, analyzing funnels, and using data to guide prioritization and measure outcomes. You also know where data is incomplete and how to fill gaps with targeted research.
- Customer empathy for learner personas: You can deeply understand the needs of the people who actually use the product day-to-day: the nurse, the new hire, the frontline manager, the analyst trying to grow into a new role. You value their time and design for relevance, momentum, and trust.
- Clear communication and alignment: You can write and speak clearly to different audiences: engineers, designers, support teams, leadership, and customers. You are good at turning ambiguous problems into aligned plans.
- Bias toward outcomes over output: You focus on impact (engagement, return, skill growth, completion, learner advocacy) rather than shipping features for their own sake.
