About the role

We’re looking for a Product Manager - OEM to join our Product Team, and play a key role in being responsible for product management of Activate Group's OEM-facing product line, including AvantelIQ and our Total Loss Avoidance product.

Working within our Avant Consult business, the role will own the roadmap for these products, build strong relationships with OEM partners including BMW & MINI UK, McLaren, Volkswagen Group and Toyota, and translate their requirements into well-defined product improvements. The Product Manager will work closely with the Head of Product and development teams to ensure our products remain compliant, competitive, and deliver maximum value.

Key responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

• Own and maintain the product roadmaps aligned with Activate Group's wider product strategy.
• Define and prioritise product requirements based on OEM compliance needs, market trends, and business goals.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

• Build and maintain strong relationships with OEM partners to gather feedback and identify opportunities for enhancement.
• Act as the voice of the customer within the business, ensuring product decisions reflect OEM requirements and compliance standards.
• Engage with senior stakeholders across Activate Group and Avant Consult to ensure product initiatives are aligned with business goals.
Collaboration & Delivery

• Partner closely with the Head of Product and development teams to translate roadmap priorities into well-defined features, user stories, and deliverables.
• Ensure delivery teams understand the reasoning behind each product decision, fostering a culture of purpose-driven development.
• Work with QA, UX/UI, and data teams to ensure products are high quality, intuitive, and measurable.
Market & Industry Awareness

• Keep ahead of automotive, OEM compliance, and total loss trends to ensure Activate Group's products remain competitive and industry-leading.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities for automation and data-led product improvements.
Performance & Continuous Improvement

• Define and track key product metrics, ensuring performance meets expectations and drives value for OEM partners and the business.
• Contribute to establishing best practice in product management processes, tools, and reporting across the team.

Skills and experience
• Experience in product management, ideally within automotive, OEM, SaaS, or technology sectors.
• Track record of delivering successful products from concept to market.
• Strong stakeholder management and customer engagement skills, including experience managing relationships with large corporate partners.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
• Experience working closely with software development teams in an Agile environment.
• Familiarity with modern UX/UI practices.

Desirable (but not essential):
• Knowledge of, or experience within, the automotive or OEM industry.
• Experience with compliance, auditing, or total loss processes.
