At NetBox Labs, our mission is to make it easier to build and manage complex networks. As a product company, we do that by developing innovative software for network professionals delivered on-premises and in the cloud. 

We are seeking a passionate product manager who operates at startup speed to pair with our world class Platform Engineering team and partner with other  leaders from across the company to bring our products to market.  Reporting to our Head of Product, you will be responsible for the foundational platforms by which we deliver products like NetBox Enterprise and NetBox Cloud to customers.

In addition, this product manager will be responsible for adoption and growth of the commercial product offerings at NetBox Labs, partnering with our revenue and business teams to define packaging and pricing, optimize our products to meet adoption and revenue objectives, and measure and analyze results to drive product iterations.  In this role, you will partner closely with our Product Manager, Applications, who manages the feature roadmaps for NetBox, NetBox Assurance, NetBox Discovery, and other core applications that are packaged into our Enterprise and Cloud products.

In this role you will:

  • Pair with our Platform Engineering team to establish direction and strategy for our core platform technologies, which enable the delivery of our Enterprise and Cloud products

  • Partner with our Product Manager, Applications to align the priorities and roadmaps of our open source and proprietary software applications with the goals of our Enterprise and Cloud products

  • Get hands on with our products to refine features, validate new releases, and engage directly with customer issues and requirements

  • Identify opportunities to accelerate adoption and revenue objectives and apply an experimentalist, iterative approach to drive growth of the business and impact of our products in the market

  • Work closely with stakeholders at all levels and in all functional areas of the business to identify product, packaging, and pricing needs and opportunities

  • Engage with customers, prospective customers, and members of our community to understand use cases, functional requirements, and opportunities

  • Represent the company and our product team in pre-sales and post-sales customer conversations

  • Consider many product priorities and constraints to establish plans and roadmaps that result in rapid forward progress toward strategic goals while balancing the needs of customers and the capacity of our teams

  • Operate in a high trust, high performance environment where you can expect others to meet commitments, and in which you will be expected to meet yours as well

You will work closely with:

  • Director of Engineering and  Platform team who own and operate the Cloud and Enterprise products to set direction of our platform technology in line with our strategic objectives, and engage hands-on with our products

  • Product Manager, Applications who is responsible for the strategies for applications like NetBox, NetBox Assurance and NetBox Discovery, which you will deliver to market through our Cloud and Enterprise products

  • Finance and sales to identify and implement  packaging and pricing strategy and capture opportunities to optimize adoption and growth of our products and business

  • Product team along with customer success and sales to understand customer and community problems and deliver compelling solutions and a stellar user experience

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in product management roles within B2B enterprise software or SaaS businesses

  • Sufficient technical experience to work in a hands-on way with our products to test features and drive product iteration

  • Experience with enterprise IT environments, technologies, and teams

  • Experience in packaging and pricing for B2B software products

  • Experience working closely with engineering teams to balance technical product development and go to market iteration

  • 3+ years of experience in fast-paced, high growth startup environments

  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams and engage a passionate community

  • Strong technical writing skills and comfort translating technical concepts into written blog articles, product documentation, and other product collateral

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders to generate forward progress on complex projects

  • Experience engaging directly with customers and prospective customers to represent the product and to gather product feedback

  • Experience planning and executing high impact product launches in concert with marketing and product marketing teams

  • Quantitative analysis skills and a proven ability to work with and tell stories with data

It would be fantastic if you have the following background:

  • Experience working with open source projects and communities

  • Substantial networking and infrastructure industry experience

  • Product management experience with infrastructure or other IT software products

  • Experience leading products from “zero to one” - idea to launch

  • Experience with multiple go-to-market motions such as enterprise sales, partner/channel sales, and product led growth

  • Hands-on engineering experience as a network, devops, or software engineer
