Description

Most of our development work is undertaken in Edinburgh, with a number of engineers working remotely from other countries. You will be based in our new friendly office in central Edinburgh. Working hours are flexible and hybrid working will be available. We follow a light-touch agile process with a focus on delivery.  Product at Opus 2 is about having ownership over delivering outcomes- for our clients, our investors, and our teammates.

We are looking for a Product Manager to oversee a critical area of our legal technology product portfolio and manage a team of product owners. This role is dedicated to translating strategic vision from product managers into actionable development plans and ensuring flawless execution. You’ll collaborate with product management, product designers, technical writers and engineering to bring our solutions to life.

What you'll be doing

  • Product Ownership: Ownership of full lifecycle; from discovery to delivery. Translate strategy and context into detailed requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria. Partner closely with the business and customers to understand needs, market trends and strategic priorities; to focus execution and delivery.
  • Critical Thinking and Analytically Minded: Make data-driven decisions using quantitative analysis, qualitative insights, and experimentation. Ruthlessly prioritize to balance scalability, innovation, and customer impact.
  • Execution and Delivery: You are hands-on, deeply embedded in Agile teams, ensuring that every sprint delivers scalable and repeatable business impact.
  • Team Leadership: You should be comfortable mentoring and managing others as this role may take on responsibility for product owners or business analysts.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Work with product design and technical writing to ensure designs and documentation align with development goals, acting as a bridge between vision and implementation. Work hand in hand with commercial teams to drive adoption and revenue growth.
  • Process Optimisation: Champion agile delivery, attend stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives to optimize team performance and delivery.
  • Quality Assurance: Validate that delivery of features meet defined acceptance criteria and fulfil the intended user experience and business impact.
Requirements
What we're looking for in you
  • 5+years of product experience, ideally in a B2B SaaS or LegalTech environment, with a focus on execution and delivery.
  • 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring product owners or similar roles within an agile team
  • Proven success delivering product outcomes which drive acquisition, growth and revenue.
  • Innovative and growth minded- you adopt new tools, embrace AI and Automation as ways to be better at your job, and bring curiosity to any challenge. You do not see feedback as criticism, but instead as input to improve.
  • Expertise in agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and tools like Jira, Confluence and Pendo for backlog and sprint management.
  • Strong ability to break down complex requirements into clear, actionable tasks for development teams.
  • Excellent communication skills to align technical teams with strategic goals and foster collaboration.
  • Detail-oriented with a knack for prioritization and managing multiple workstreams.
  • Domain Knowledge: Experience in the legal industry (e.g. litigation, e-discovery, case management) or ability to quickly grasp complex domains is a plus.
  • Leadership: A hands-on leader who thrives in guiding teams through execution while maintaining a focus on quality and delivery timelines.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Technology, Software) or equivalent experience.
