Product Marketing ManagerAbout the Job

Empowering Innovation.

EmpowerRD is a fast-growing startup based near Silicon Roundabout in central London, UK. Recently nominated for 3 National Technology Awards, we work with innovative companies across the UK to help them claim R&D tax credits from the government for the innovation they have undertaken.

Traditionally, companies have worked with providers who offer support through an offline process to secure these incentives. EmpowerRD has developed a SaaS platform and married it up to a team of Tax experts to create a claiming process fit for the digital age. We have supported over 1200+ companies, but we continue to expand our focus to become the UK’s leading R&D Tax Credits specialist. Therefore, we are looking for a Product Marketing Manager to join our highly skilled team to help us achieve that ambition.

Working both autonomously and in collaboration, you'll play an integral role in our continued growth and be empowered with the right tools to bridge the gap between our product, our sales team, and the market. In addition, you will gain valuable FinTech experience and, as you progress, be rewarded with the opportunity to grow within the organisation.

The Impact and Ownership You Will Have

The Marketing team is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to lead our go-to-market (GTM) strategy, ensuring our platform’s value proposition is clearly communicated and adopted by our target segments.

  • Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution: Lead the end-to-end strategy for product launches and feature updates, ensuring they are positioned effectively to drive adoption and retention.
  • Positioning and Messaging: Develop compelling narratives that translate complex R&D tax legislation and SaaS functionality into clear value propositions for different buyer personas.
  • Sales Enablement: Build tight collaboration with Sales to create high-impact collateral, including pitch decks, case studies, and competitive intelligence that improve win rates.
  • Market & Segment Intelligence: Deepen our understanding of businesses at differing stages (Seed, Venture, Growth) and across key target industries to tailor our product's story.
  • Customer Insights & Advocacy: Leverage existing channels to gather customer feedback and experiment with new ways to turn our 1200+ clients into vocal advocates.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner closely with Product and Tech teams to influence the roadmap based on market requirements and ROI insights.
Essential Requirements
  • University undergraduate degree or equivalent.
  • 4-6 years of experience in B2B SaaS marketing, with a specific focus on product marketing and GTM strategy.
  • Proven ability to translate technical features into customer-centric benefits in partnership with Product and Sales teams.
  • Experience targeting senior leaders and C-suite within tech and science-based industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the product launch lifecycle with executional rigor and a focus on iterative improvement.
  • Expertise in data-backed storytelling, using market research and product usage metrics to build influence across GTM teams.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, high-growth environments where priorities evolve as we scale.
  • A "proven winner" mindset with a desire to build the Product Marketing roadmap from the ground up.
  • Hands-on experience with automation and CMS tools (e.g., HubSpot) to distribute product content and track engagement.
Desired Skills (But Not Essential)
  • Experience working within the FinTech sector.
  • Knowledge of the UK R&D Tax credits scheme.
  • Experience in conducting formal competitive analysis and pricing strategy.
Our Values

EmpowerRD has a strong set of values that define how we work:

  • Lead with integrity: We find the right solution, not the first solution.
  • Professionalism in engagement: We are an authority in our subject matter and invest in learning.
  • Bold in outlook: We are market-leading in our thinking and driven by data.
  • Proactive in focus: We have a growth mindset and learn from mistakes.
  • Approachable in style: We support each other and grow together as a positive team.
