About Department

FactoryTalk® ControlFLASH Plus® team is a part of the Software & Control (S&C) that designs and develops Logix controllers, network modules, operator interfaces and Visualization Software. Katowice office is 2nd largest S&C Campus in the world, hiring 350+ software engineers.

Technology stack, practices, and methodologies we use C++, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS/SASS C#, .NET, NodeJS, C++, Python, Git, Jenkins, Jira, qTest, Continuous Delivery, Scrum, SAFe.

ControlFLASH Plus® is a software tool used for electronically changing firmware revisions in hardware devices. It provides an intuitive, easy-to-use interface so you can quickly see what versions are installed on your devices; review what firmware is available, manage, export, and save firmware combinations. It allows to see your device's lifecycle state, review critical announcements and release notes.

When you join our Software Development group, you’ll become part of an agile team committed to using reliable and well-thought-out engineering and software development practices (such as Agile/SCRUM) to overcome any challenges. We are looking for a scrum team member, a versatile software engineer. Someone who will effectively leverage a diverse set of technical backgrounds and opinions by fostering a team-oriented environment and the use of open and direct communications and respect.

You will report to the MANAGER SW DEVELOPMENT and have a hybrid schedule working in Katowice, Poland.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop industry-leading Rockwell Automation products, specifically ControlFLASH Plus®.
  • Provide an intuitive, easy-to-use interface for managing firmware versions, lifecycle states, critical announcements, and release notes.
  • Play a key role in subsystem design, implementation, and testing.
  • Consistently deliver high quality code, and passionate about great design and code quality.
  • Actively participate in all stages of the development lifecycle and support the team throughout the process.
  • Collaborate with multiple global cross-functional teams and business partners.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • 8+ years of experience in development of commercial or open-source software
  • Required programming languages: .NET/C# for Windows and Linux.
  • Experience working with data structures, object-oriented design and design patterns.
  • Implement unit tests, integration tests and software testing methodologies.
  • Agile software development using Scrum.
  • Communicative English that enables collaboration with global team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Programming languages: Angular/TypeScript.
  • Direct experience with the Industrial Automation Industry. ·       
  • Experience with scaling and performance tools and technologies.
  • Experience with automated test tools.
  • Experience in collaborating with local and global technical development teams.
