Job Description

We're looking for a self-driven QA Manager to take on a vital role in our software development quality assurance process.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to the QA team members.

  • Oversee and manage daily activities of the QA team to ensure alignment with project goals.

  • Assist in onboarding new QA team members and conducting training sessions.

  • Act as a liaison between the QA team and cross-functional Scrum teams.

  • Ensure QA tasks are properly prioritized, assigned, and completed within sprint timelines.

  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to represent QA activities.

  • Develop, review, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

  • Perform hands-on manual or automated testing (functional, regression, integration, and UAT).

  • Identify testing gaps and ensure complete coverage of requirements.

  • Monitor and manage defect lifecycle, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution.

  • Generate and share testing progress, quality metrics, and defect reports with stakeholders.

  • Implement and enforce quality assurance processes and best practices to ensure high product quality.

  • Identify areas for improvement in testing processes and propose actionable solutions.


Basic Requirements
  • 3+ years team leadership experience in a QA environment, preferably leading small to medium-sized teams. 10+ years overall experience.

  • Strong hands-on testing experience (manual or automated).

  • Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, coordinating QA efforts with Scrum teams.

  • Proficiency with testing tools like JIRA, TestRail, Selenium, or similar platforms.

  • Familiarity with automation frameworks and scripting languages desirable (e.g., Python, Java, or JavaScript).

  • Ability to manage, motivate, and mentor QA team members.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to handle multiple projects and teams simultaneously.

  • Proven ability to resolve conflicts and facilitate collaboration across teams.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting progress, defects, and risks.

  • Comfortable presenting quality metrics and updates to stakeholders and management.

  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

  • Experience improving QA workflows and advocating for quality improvements in Agile environments.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
