About the jobWe are currently looking for a Quality & Assurance Engineer to strengthen our Cronos Europa team and contribute to large‑scale IT programmes within the European Institutions. The Test Engineer shall ensure that delivered or existing products, applications or services comply with technical and user needs and with specifications, user stories or cases. For existing systems, applications, innovations, and functionality changes, the profile shall diagnose failures of products or services as regards to the specification standards. The profile must also generate requisite documentation to support quality management activities in a project. The role will be performed in the Athens office.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- Analyse the system under testing.
- Design the test strategy.
- Create, design and maintain test plans.
- Develop test acceptance criteria.
- Create, design and maintain test scripts and test data.
- Prepare and plan the test environments.
- Perform testing activities and report test results.
- Log any defects and potential improvements.
- Generate requisite documentation to support quality management activities.
Additional tasks which might be requested:
- Define the scope of automation.
- Select appropriate automation tools.
- Create or contribute to the test automation strategy.
- Convert manual test cases to automated scripts.
- Develop maintainable and reusable test code.
- Follow best practices for test naming, structure, and assertions.
- Maintain test data, configuration, and reporting tools.
- Contribute to result analysis and reporting procedures.
- Contribute to defect tracking and correction procedures.
- Use, select and design testing tools to assess software quality.
- Develop standards to increase test effectiveness and efficiency.
- At least, 6 years of relevant experience as a Test Engineer or QA Engineer in complex IT environments.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage testing activities end‑to‑end within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong analytical skills to understand requirements and identify testing risks.
- Knowledge of web technologies and Microsoft applications.
- Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence
- Experience with testing procedures, platforms, and integration testing.
- Familiarity with automation testing frameworks.
- Understanding of quality assurance and risk management procedures.
- Ability to produce clear and relevant documentation.
- Knowledge of software testing best practices and standards.
- Experience in public sector or large‑scale IT projects (European Institutions experience is an asset).
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English;
