Quality & IMS Manager

About this role:
Reporting to the Head of SHEQ&W, you will join the onsite SHEQ & Wellbeing team to lead on-site continual improvement of Quality systems, Good Manufacturing Process, and Forestry Stewardship Council systems, working with other departments, such as Production, Engineering and Logistics to ensure the site complies with ISO 9001, FSC, GMP and the DS Smith Standards.
With a keen eye for detail in a busy environment you’ll be part of a site-based team accountable for continuously improving systems, implementing initiatives, and sharing best practices. Critical to optimal performance is delivering success through leadership, development, and engagement of a busy site..
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine quality processes across site ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, FSC, GMP and the DS Smith Standards.
- Drive data-based decision-making, ensuring quality metrics are captured, analysed, and used to drive improvements.
- Lead internal quality reviews with Production, Engineering and Logistics teams ensuring alignment on quality objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure ERP systems (IFS preferred) are utilised effectively, maintaining traceability, control, and compliance in all quality-related activities.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, staying up to date with emerging quality technologies and recommending process automation or continuous improvement initiatives.
What we would like to see from you:
- Relevant qualifications related to ISO 9001, FSC, GMP
- Previous Quality and management system experience essential.
- You will be reliable, knowledgeable, approachable and with good people skills and an eye for detail
- Excellent stakeholder communication and engagement skills
- Demonstrated process approach to problem solving and focus on continuous improvement
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suites and an ability to adapt to learn new non-Microsoft software
