THE ROLE:
We are seeking an experienced individual for the role of Regional Financial Controller - UK. This is a challenging and demanding leadership role with responsibility for timely and accurate monthly reporting, and filing of statutory accounts for UK companies within the Genius Sports Group.
- Reports directly to the Head of Management Reporting
- Leadership and development of UK financial accounting team
- Production of statutory reporting (for UK based subsidiaries)
- Responsible for cost reporting and relevant analysis on monthly basis
- Working with FP&A team understanding variances to budget and forecasts
- Review of Monthly P&Ls, Balance sheets and supporting information
- Review and certification of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Improvements in Finance Processes and automation where possible
- Working with Internal Audit to ensure SOX compliance
- Supporting External Reporting team in US GAAP reporting
- Ensuring accounting is in line with required GAAP and Group policy
- Working closely with External auditors with view to simplifying annual audits
- Responsible for UK VAT reconciliation and preparation of VAT returns
- Development of team Workday Financials skills / reduction in reliance on Excel
- Short term cashflow forecasting
- Other Ad hoc work as initiated or required

- Professional accounting qualification is essential
