About this role

Functional Title: Regional Head of Enterprise Services - Europe
Reports To: Global Head of Enterprise Services

Job Summary: The Regional Head of Enterprise Services for Europe will provide regional oversight and leadership for all functional staff operating within the European region. This role is critical in ensuring the effective coordination and management of BlackRock's Workplace Strategy, Workplace Operations, Enterprise Resilience and Safety and Corporate Security and Executive Operations function. The successful candidate will serve as the senior resource in the region, acting as the central coordination and escalation point in region.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all Enterprise Services functions within the EMEA region.
  • Works closely with regional leadership, Technology & Operations and Enterprise Solutions leadership to ensure activities are well coordinated.
  • Coordinate the activities of functional staff, ensuring alignment with global strategies and objectives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact / escalation for regional issues with senior leadership, providing timely and effective resolution.
  • Collaborate with global and regional leaders to drive continuous improvement and innovation in Enterprise Services.
  • Serve as the senior Enterprise Services representative in times of crisis, and when ES is supporting the firm’s response to various crisis related issues.
  • Ensure the effective delivery of the Enterprise Services portfolio including:
  • Delivering a safe, secure and resilient operation for staff in the region,
  • Driving business continuity planning and execution, ensuring the resilience of operations in the face of disruptions and supporting incident response and crisis management.
  • Implementation of real estate strategies, including space planning, site acquisition, design, construction, and ongoing management of office portfolios.
  • Managing facilities operations, ensuring an excellent workplace experience and the safety and operation of offices and data centers.
  • Ensuring health and safety programs comply with regional regulations and best practices.
  • Managing travel services, ensuring efficient and effective travel arrangements for staff.
  • Serve as a local people leader, responsible for supporting employees in their professional development and serving as the local lead during cyclical HR related activities (e.g. performance reviews, compensation, training, etc).
     

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a similar function, preferably within a global organization.
  • Strong understanding of corporate security, real estate, facilities management, business continuity, health and safety, and related functions.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to coordinate and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering effective and timely solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of regional regulations and best practices related to the functions within Enterprise Services.
  • Willingness to travel within the region as required.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within the EMEA region.
  • Professional certifications related to corporate security, real estate, facilities management, or business continuity.
