About Allica Bank

Allica is the UK’s fastest growing company - and the fastest-growing financial technology (Fintech) firm ever. Our purpose is to help established SMEs, one of the last major underserved opportunities in Fintech.

Established SMEs are the backbone of local communities - representing over a third of our economy - yet have been largely neglected both by traditional high street banks and modern fintech providers.

About Cashflow Finance

Having already achieved significant success in the commercial mortgage and asset finance markets, Allica launched an innovative new Growth Finance product in 2023. This delivers working capital funding with facility sizes between £1m-£10m and is principally an asset-based lending product.

We now plan to expand our product capability with the launch of a cashflow finance solution which will meet the funding needs of growing established, profitable businesses who do not have tangible collateral available to offer in support.

We intend to build a team of specialists who will be instrumental in bringing the cashflow product to life alongside colleagues in other functional areas of the bank.

Role Description

The Regional Lead will initially be instrumental in the development and launch of the product. Thereafter, they will be responsible for origination, structuring and execution of facilities which meet the lending requirements of Allica. In addition to origination, the role will initially carry responsibility for delivering a high-quality relationship and ongoing risk management for a portfolio of cashflow clients

Principal Accountabilities
  • Using knowledge of the market, contribute to the design and delivery of a cashflow funding product that meets the needs of an underserved borrower population.

  • Origination, structuring and execution of new cashflow funding facilities

  • Promoting awareness in the professional services communities regionally.

  • Identification of opportunities which are compatible with Allica’s risk appetite and provide returns in line with requirements.

  • Gathering and analysing financial information which, along with other credit risk considerations, are then presented in an accurate, balanced proposal to Underwriting.

  • Negotiation and agreement of terms with the target business.

  • Oversight of facility documentation and pre-commencement requirements to ensure the transaction is closed efficiently, in accordance with the credit approved terms.

  • Be an advocate for the product with colleagues throughout the bank.

  • Complying with all mandatory policies and develop and adhere to operational procedures to maintain a strong internal control environment.

Personal Attributes & Experience
  • A belief that there is an opportunity to build a significantly improved cashflow lending solution to the target SME market and a desire to innovate through a hands-on approach.

  • You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.

  • An in depth understanding of the SME lending market, specifically non tangibly secured cashflow lending.

  • An established network of potential new business introducers who are active in the SME financing market.

  • Demonstrable experience of successfully originating, structuring and managing facilities of this type in the target segment.

  • Able to interpret detailed financial information including balance sheet and cash forecasting, assess funding requirements and model the impact of sensitivities to such forecasts.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
