Job Description

Join us in shaping the future of local transport.

Our Local Transport Market generates an annual turnover of over £100m, with over 1000 FTEs working in partnership with transport authorities, government agencies and investors to shape and enhance regions across the UK, aligning with our clients' objectives.

We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity to become a key part of our Local Transport Market Team. We are considering two appointments to cover the region.

To be the UK’s leading provider of design and innovative services for Local Transport clients, helping create and implement multi-modal transport solutions by connecting people, places and technology.

As a Regional Lead you’ll play a central role in managing relationships with Combined and Local Authorities across the North of England and Scotland. You’ll lead the delivery of projects, strengthen client partnerships, and help grow our portfolio as our clients embrace devolution and invest in their infrastructure.

The role:

The role is key to ensuring that we identify opportunities, win work and deliver on our commitments to our clients and to our organisation. Some key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage projects and accounts across the North and Scotland, ensuring high quality outcomes and exceptional client satisfaction.
  • Build and develop long term relationships with Combined Authorities and Local Authorities understanding their unique challenges and ambitions.
  • Craft compelling value propositions that address client needs and unlock new opportunities to deliver growth.
  • Represent AtkinsRéalis with confidence, developing alliances and partnerships that expand our reach and reputation.
  • Identify and pursue business leads, contributing to regional growth.
  • Lead and inspire Key Account and project teams, fostering collaboration and excellence.
  • Monitor project performance driving continuous improvement and instigating corrective actions where necessary.
  • Champion Health & Safety, promoting a strong safety culture.

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in a client facing role, ideally within the public sector or local authority environment.
  • A recognised profile and strong network with clients in the region.
  • Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex projects and driving business growth.
