We are looking for a passionate Regional Sales Training Lead - Ogun to join our Sales team at M-KOPA as we scale up and drive digital and financial inclusion across our markets.
About M-KOPA
M-KOPA is one of Africa's most ambitious fintech platforms; built not for people who already have access, but for the 55% of our customers who are accessing financial services for the very first time. We've extended over $2 billion in credit, served 7 million customers across our markets, and maintained an 86% customer satisfaction rate not by accident, but because the people driving our growth on the ground are exceptional.
We're growing fast, and Ogun is a critical part of that story.
Role Overview
As Regional Sales Training Lead for Ogun State, you will own the sales performance of a field-based team of Direct Sales Representatives (DSRs) - recruiting, developing, and driving them toward targets that matter. This is a leadership role with real commercial accountability: you're not just managing people, you're building the local infrastructure that connects M-KOPA's products to the communities that need them most.
Why this role is different
Most sales leadership roles hand you a playbook and ask you to run it. This one asks you to read the terrain — Ogun's communities, its networks, its rhythms — and build the strategy that fits. You'll have the autonomy to develop local agent networks, shape your team's approach, and influence how M-KOPA shows up in one of Nigeria's most commercially dynamic states. The impact isn't abstract. Every DSR you develop, every customer your team reaches, is a data point in a much bigger story about financial inclusion in West Africa.
What You'll Do
Recruit, onboard, and mentor a team of DSRs - setting clear performance standards, running regular coaching sessions, and building a culture where your team consistently exceeds targets
Develop and execute localised sales and marketing strategies that grow M-KOPA's footprint across Ogun State, identifying new distribution opportunities and community entry points
Monitor team performance, manage DSR inventory, oversee campaign execution, and ensure reporting and audit compliance in line with company policies.
What You'll Need
Demonstrable experience in sales within FinTech, Microfinance, Telecommunications, FMCG, or a related sector with a track record of personally hitting and helping others hit commercial targets.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a field-based sales team in a target-driven environment — you know how to coach for performance, not just manage activity.
Strong grasp of local market dynamics in Ogun or Southwest Nigeria, with the relationship-building skills to open doors and the commercial instincts to convert them.
The honest part
This is a field leadership role. It's demanding, it's fast-moving, and the accountability is real. You'll be expected to own your numbers, develop your people, and navigate the complexity of selling in diverse communities across the state. If that sounds like exactly the kind of challenge you've been waiting for; you're probably the right person.
Why M-KOPA?At M-KOPA, we empower our people to own their careers through diverse development programs, coaching partnerships, and on-the-job training. We support individual journeys with family-friendly policies, prioritize well-being, and embrace flexibility.
