About the opportunity

The School of Project Management is seeking a highly organised and proactive Research Administration Officer to provide comprehensive administrative support across the School’s research and research education portfolios.

In this role, you will coordinate administrative services related to research data collection, ensuring processes are efficient, accurate, and well‑governed. You will also support ethics submissions, grant applications, and the delivery of research‑related initiatives, working closely with academic and professional staff across the School.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • provide high‑level administrative support to the Associate Heads of Research and Research Education, contributing to both strategic and operational priorities

  • manage all Research and Research Education administrative requests at the School level, including WHS and staff induction processes

  • coordinate events and research seminars, and provide secretariat support to the School’s Research and Research Education Committees

  • deliver School‑specific administrative support for research grant and scholarship applications

  • support the coordination and implementation of new School, Faculty, or University initiatives as required.

About you

  • demonstrated experience working within the higher education sector

  • experience interpreting and applying legislation, policies, and procedures

  • proven experience providing administrative support to researchers and research‑related activities

  • previous experience performing operational or administrative duties within a complex organisation

  • strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities

  • high level of computer literacy and confidence using digital systems

  • well‑developed critical thinking and decision‑making skills

  • excellent planning, organisational, and time‑management skills

  • clear and effective written and verbal communication skills

  • demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team environment

  • strong project management capability with a high level of attention to detail.

You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to be eligible to apply. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.
