Senior Backend Developer

You’ll join the team responsible for designing and evolving the backend systems behind our CI/CD platform, operating across thousands of deployments, nearly 2,000 packages, and more than 10 Amazon Web Services regions. • Design, build, and operate backend services that power Coveo’s continuous integration and deployment platform.
• Develop application programming interfaces and services used by internal tooling to orchestrate builds, tests, releases, and deployments.
• Own backend components running on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud and Kubernetes via Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service, ensuring scalability, resiliency, and performance.
• Automate infrastructure and deployment workflows using Infrastructure-as-Code principles.
• Improve deployment safety, observability, and rollback strategies across multiple Amazon Web Services regions.
• Document system architectures and actively collaborate with R&D teams to evolve CI/CD best practices.

• You’re a polyglot backend developer who enjoys working across multiple programming languages and switching contexts as part of daily work.
• You have hands-on experience with Python, Go, and shell scripting, or are eager to deepen your expertise in these languages.
• You’re genuinely interested in both backend application development and Infrastructure-as-Code, and understand how the two come together in modern platforms.
• You have solid, practical experience with Amazon Web Services and its core services such as Simple Storage Service (S3) and Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2).
• You understand continuous integration and deployment principles and have experience building, operating, or evolving pipelines using GitHub Actions.

• Experience automating infrastructure and environments using Terraform.
• Strong collaboration skills and a desire to build tools that make other developers more productive.
• Great ability to explain the reasoning behind their coding choices.
• A person that will truly care about the challenges tackled, and do the extra steps to achieve a great result.
