Job Title: Senior Business Analyst / Data Analyst

Location: London, United Kingdom
Work Model: Hybrid (2–3 days onsite per week)

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst / Data Analyst to join our Data & Analytics practice. You will play a key role in bridging the gap between business objectives and data-driven technology solutions. This role involves understanding complex business challenges, analysing large datasets, and translating insights into actionable recommendations that inform strategic decisions and improve operational performance.

You will work closely with stakeholders across business and technology teams, helping shape data strategies, define analytical solutions, and ensure that data initiatives align with long-term business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements for data and analytics solutions.

  • Translate business needs into clear functional and data requirements for development and architecture teams.

  • Analyse and interpret large, complex datasets to identify trends, correlations, and actionable insights.

  • Design and maintain dashboards and reports that measure key performance indicators and support business decision-making.

  • Support data migration, data quality, and data governance initiatives in collaboration with engineering and architecture teams.

  • Contribute to the development of data models, pipelines, and visualisation frameworks on platforms such as Azure, Databricks, or Power BI.

  • Evaluate existing data processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements to enhance scalability, efficiency, and data accuracy.

  • Assist in developing data strategies, roadmaps, and reference documentation to guide long-term analytical initiatives.

  • Work cross-functionally with solution architects, data engineers, and project managers to ensure alignment between business outcomes and technical execution.

  • Communicate analytical findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to best practices in business analysis and data analytics.

Skills and Experience
  • 7–10 years of experience in Business Analysis and Data Analytics, preferably within enterprise or consulting environments.

  • Proven experience working on data-driven transformation or digital initiatives.

  • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills with proficiency in tools such as SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or Python (for analysis).

  • Working knowledge of Azure Data Platform, Databricks, or other cloud data ecosystems is highly desirable.

  • Solid understanding of data governancedata quality management, and data modelling concepts.

  • Experience in translating business strategy into actionable data initiatives.

  • Ability to elicit and document requirements using user stories, process flows, and data mapping techniques.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across both technical and business functions.

  • Understanding of GDPR and data privacy best practices.

  • Experience working with global, cross-functional, and agile delivery teams.
