The Team You'll Join
Our Commercial Finance team in Bath acts as an essential partner supporting Future's digital content monetization across iconic global brands. Based in our Bath head office on a hybrid basis (2–3 days per week), we translate complex operational data into actionable insights that guide commercial strategy. You'll join an agile, data-focused team working closely with Ad Operations, Programmatic, and Yield leadership. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape revenue analysis, optimize inventory yield, and support sustainable commercial growth across global media titles.
What you'll do
Reporting to the Senior Commercial Finance Manager in Bath, you'll manage the Advertising Waterfall model to analyse how Future monetizes digital content. You'll work closely with the VP for Ad Operations, Programmatic & Yield, alongside Business Intelligence and Management Accounts teams. In this role, you'll evaluate impression volumes, pricing yields, and audience metrics across UK and US markets to identify revenue opportunities.
On a daily basis, you'll build and update financial models in Google Sheets and Excel to evaluate Display Advertising revenue and cost of sales. You'll prepare month-end performance summaries, support annual budgeting cycles, and collaborate with BI teams to enhance data reporting. Additionally, you'll act as a trusted finance partner, providing commercial guidance to operational teams across the business.
- Manage and update the Advertising Waterfall model to track impression volumes, pricing yields, and digital revenue trends.
- Prepare month-end financial analysis comparing actual performance against forecasts, prior year results, and geographic brands.
- Partner with Ad Operations and BI teams to evaluate inventory capacity and uncover new monetization opportunities.
- Support the production of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and ongoing financial estimates.
- Review month-end management accounts covering Display Advertising revenue and associated cost of sales.
- Collaborate across Finance and operational teams to evaluate risks, opportunities, and reporting accuracy.
What you’ll bring
- Demonstrable experience in commercial finance, financial modelling, or data analysis within a commercial environment.
- Full qualification or active progress toward an accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in managing large data sets and building financial models using Google Sheets or Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify data discrepancies and resolve operational queries.
- Collaborative communication skills with a proven ability to build positive relationships across cross-functional teams.
- A curious approach to financial analysis with a desire to evaluate business performance trends.
Minimum Requirements
- Commercial finance experience or background analysing revenue, cost, or audience metrics.
- Experience building financial models or working with complex data sets in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders from our Bath head office on a hybrid basis (2–3 days per week).
- Practical understanding of forecasting, budgeting, or month-end reporting processes.

The expected range for this role is £30,000 - £42,000
This is a hybrid role, working 2 days per week from our Bath Office.
