Job Purpose:
The Senior Data Delivery Manager will lead the delivery of data initiatives within a complex and evolving technology landscape. This role will focus on managing a team to deliver data solutions, while a large transformation of legacy systems is underway. The future technology stack will focus on Azure, Databricks and Power BI.
The Senior Data Delivery Lead will play a pivotal role in translating the enterprise-wide Data & Analytics strategy, into tangible outcomes. - Oversee the planning, prioritisation, and execution of projects across multiple business areas.
- Establish delivery frameworks and standards to ensure consistency, quality, and speed of delivery.
- Create clear delivery timelines, monitor progress, and address risks or delays proactively.
- Document and present the value of each data product delivered to the business
- Support the transition from legacy systems (e.g., Cognos, Oracle, Qlik) to modern cloud-based platforms (Azure, Databricks & Power BI)
2. Stakeholder Management & Engagement:
- Build strong relationships with business leaders, ensuring their data needs are prioritised and met.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, balancing competing demands and managing expectations.
- Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear, business-friendly manner.
- Negotiate timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure alignment across the organization.
- Translate complex data delivery challenges into clear, business-relevant narratives.
- Facilitate steering committees, governance forums, and executive reporting.
- Support Data Fluency & Data Culture initiatives
3. Team & Capability Leadership:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of data professionals to deliver high-quality data solutions
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the delivery team.
- Identify and address capability gaps, ensuring the organisation builds robust data delivery competencies.
4. Business Value Realisation:
- Ensure delivery outcomes are measurable, value-driven, and aligned with strategic goals.
- Partner with business owners to embed data solutions and drive adoption.
- Monitor and track benefits realisation, ensuring long-term business impact.
5. Governance, Compliance & Data Transformation
- Ensure all data initiatives comply with organizational governance frameworks and regulatory standards.

- Establish robust processes for data governance, including documentation, auditing, and reporting.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
Experience & Qualifications
- Excellent communication, presentation, and reporting skills.
- Experience in data delivery, programme management, or related roles within large, complex organisations.
- Proven leadership experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing senior-level stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of data platforms, data governance, analytics solutions, and their application in a business context.
- Experience in change management, preferably in healthcare or distribution.
- Knowledge of programme/portfolio management methodologies (Agile, SAFe, Prince2, or equivalent).
- Experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, supply chain, or similarly regulated industries desirable.
