What You'll Do

Triangle Retail Media is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Data Engineer for our Data Science team. This new role involves developing and maintaining data engineering pipelines enabling statistical measurement and machine-learning based audience creation and prediction. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional capabilities building efficient and robust pipelines.

  • Understand business and machine learning applications of data the stakeholders’ requirements to support work processes and strategic business objectives

  • Develop and optimize existing and new data products, ranging from simple ETL to complex event-driven data pipelines, using enterprise-grade CICD tools

  • Implement data monitoring and performance management adhering to best-in-class coding standards

  • Develop and optimize existing and new data pipelines to standardize and automate processes

  • Identify and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise with an entrepreneurial mindset and provide scalable resolution with follow-through

  • Work on ad-hoc projects that leverage multiple internal and external sources of data such as marketing spend and campaign performance

  • Work with IT and business stakeholders to influence decision making with data and data products

What You Bring

  • B.S. in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science. Equivalent experience also considered

  • 3+ years of professional work experience in data management within retail media, digital media, marketing or advertising

  • Strong knowledge of SQL and Python to build complex pipelines with industry standard tools such as Airflow or Google Cloud Composer, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse, Data Factory & Fabric

  • Experience with PySpark, Hadoop and KNIME Business Hub a plus

  • Comfort working across multiple data environments, on-prem and multi-cloud

  • Expertise in using code repositories such as Git, CICD best practices using toolsets such as Azure DevOps

  • Ability to translate data science requirements into data pipeline specifications

  • Balance of technical and business acumen, understanding how the data will be used
