What You Will Do:
The Senior Data Scientist is responsible for contributing to the development of the strategy for Analytics, Reporting and Metrics building in line with overall Business Information Services strategy leveraging visualization tools/business intelligence platforms. Your role will include the following :
- Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
- Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
- Leveraging business intelligence tools i.e Spotfire for analysis and review.
- Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
- Providing specialist support for development, interpretation and application of machine learning models
- Applying analytical and statistical methods to solve identified use cases in an agile manner using various data sources and analytical tools
- Work with key stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
- Liaising, advising and negotiating with key customer groups on requirements and proposing innovative solutions to meet their data modelling requirements
- Responsible for the development and implementation of capabilities to make provisioning of routine requests more routine, structured and efficient
- Contributing to initiatives that enable faster and more effective data modelling/analysis and provisioning
- Ensuring systems and code, documentation are inspection ready

- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and transforming complex datasets into actionable business insights, supported by a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience developing and applying deep learning models to solve real-world business or scientific challenges.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL (R is a plus) for data manipulation, analysis, visualization, and extracting insights from large-scale datasets.
- Familiarity with modern cloud and data platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar technologies, with the ability to leverage them for scalable analytics and machine learning solutions.
- Exposure to clinical data, clinical trials, or the pharmaceutical industry is advantageous, though not essential.
- Solid understanding of a broad range of machine learning techniques, including clustering, decision trees, neural networks, and other predictive modeling approaches, with awareness of their strengths, limitations, and practical applications.
- Strong knowledge of advanced statistical methods and concepts, including regression analysis, hypothesis testing, probability distributions, and experimental design, with demonstrated application in real-world scenarios.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for cross-functional teams.
- A naturally curious mindset with a passion for continuous learning, innovation, and staying current with emerging technologies, tools, and industry best practices.
