The Senior DevOps Engineer will manage data processes, implement migrations, and optimize AWS services while using Terraform and Lambda functions.
N-IX is looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our client's Cloud-Storage Team.
Our client is a leading global provider of high-quality licensed images, videos, and music. The company helps inspire graphic designers, creative directors, video editors, filmmakers, web developers, and other creative professionals by providing diverse content to businesses, marketing agencies, and media organizations around the world.
Responsibility:
- DevOps on the project would be to work on data management and processing tasks, implement data migration and merges from different locations and setting up needed resources, policies and automation for that;
- Terraform is used as a main IaC tool with small injections of CloudFormation;
- Project uses mainly AWS managed services for building their solution with that exception that monitoring system is based on New Relic with notifications via PagerDuty;
- DevOps will be assigned with tasks related to programming and particularly adjusting existing or building new Lambda functions or some scripted automation based on pre-defined template. It is not expected that person would design new solutions or build something from scratch;
- DevOps specialist will be joining team distributed across US and Europe with already established development process, regular plannings, sync ups and sprints.
Skills:
- AWS basic cloud service - VPC, IAM, S3, EC2 etc;
- Strong knowledge in working with AWS S3, understanding best practices, performance optimisation and processing of big (petabyte) data;
- AWS networking related to data transfer and migration between cloud providers;
- Python or NodeJS programming at intermediate level;
- Understanding and building resources using Terraform;
- Understanding, experience working with and building Lambda functions.
Nice to have:
- Experience working with object store services in GCP and Azure;
- EKS cluster management;
- AWS StepFunction experience.
