As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will automate infrastructure processes, build monitoring platforms with Prometheus and Grafana, and optimize CI/CD with Jenkins. You will collaborate with development and operations teams to enhance the service delivery of a SaaS solution, ensuring seamless cloud migration and operational efficiency.
Our client is a German company specializing in human resources software and payroll-as-a-service solutions, offering products and services in personnel management. As a DevOps Engineer, you will work together with your colleagues on the central components of the cloud landscape and ensure that cross-product communication is guaranteed.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will work closely with our development teams and the team that operates our SaaS solution. Robust operability through automated processes and monitoring is always a priority.
- You will build our observability (monitoring, alerting) platform with e.g. Prometheus and Grafana and optimize it for a SaaS operation.
- You will work with our operations team to provide production or test environments and releases for our customers.
- You will work closely with the development teams to continuously improve and automate the development experience (e.g. build & deployment processes - currently based on Jenkins, Nexus ...).
- Current solution is on prem, will be migrated to the cloud soon (cloud will be chosen).
Key Skills & Competencies:
- It is important to you to automate the infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code.
- You have automated the development processes with Jenkins or similar CI/CD systems - including the necessary toolchain such as Nexus.
- You have experience in operating applications in the web environment, the necessary monitoring and alerting and ideally also reliability management.
- You are at home with Linux, but open to working with our experienced IBM Power Systems specialists.
- You are analytically and conceptually strong, have deep expertise in the relevant technologies (e.g. IaC – Ansible, Build & Deploy systems) and an overview of current developments.
- As a DevOps Engineer, you have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- German language will be a big plus
