As a (Senior) Director of Product, you lead exceptional teams that design and deliver sophisticated financial products at global scale. You partner across operations, finance, legal, compliance, and beyond to bring to life solutions that are both customer ready and market ready. You think in systems, act with precision, and know how to turn operational and regulatory complexity into elegant, intuitive experiences. Whether your background is in payroll, fintech, or another high-integrity domain, you thrive in environments where accuracy, trust, and impact matter every day.
Responsibilities
Own delivery and launch of new products and major features from strategy through to execution
Drive product strategy and elevate product management practices across your area
Define, track, and adapt OKRs that balance quality, impact, and velocity
Build scalable product and project management routines grounded in agile principles
Hire, coach, and grow a high performing team of Product Managers and Senior Product Managers
Support performance, development, and accountability across your team
Ensure teams have the right tools, context, and cross functional alignment to deliver
Communicate priorities and trade offs clearly across teams and leadership
Operating with Resilience in a Complex, Scaling Environment
Accustomed to shipping fast and partnering with Operations to test early concepts, then scaling through full productisation once product market fit is reached
Solid understanding of payroll accounting or tax, or experience in similarly complex domains such as general ledger, core banking, or payment orchestration
Ability to own customer relationships directly, partnering with Operations to resolve escalations, align priorities, and drive delivery outcomes
Comfortable partnering with Sales throughout the sales cycle to shape requirements, support new business, plan complex implementations, and adjust capacity to ensure smooth go lives
Systems thinker who can methodically break down payroll problems across any of Deel’s 130+ active markets and not be overwhelmed by complexity
Models resilience and composure under pressure, bringing clarity to ambiguity and helping teams focus on what matters most
Sets and demonstrates high standards of problem solving, collaboration, and delivery
Qualifications
(10+) 7+ years of product management experience, with at least (5) 3 in an exec leadership role
Proven ability to go deep in complex domains and quickly gain context across the business
Strong understanding of modern product discovery and delivery methods
Track record of hiring, developing, and coaching exceptional Product Managers
Clear understanding of how to balance leading people with managing execution directly
Strong ability to collaborate across levels and functions, from individual contributors to executives
Skilled at navigating matrixed environments and building trust through clarity and results
Experience working in a fully remote global organisation preferred
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, trends, and customer insights
Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complexity and drive alignment
Detail oriented, reliable, and consistent in execution and follow through
