Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to support UN/COMMON’s expansion into the Middle East and APAC regions. As a freelance UX/UI Designer, you’ll play a key role in working with some of the largest and fastest-growing brands in these regions, helping to build best-in-class digital experiences.

You’ll collaborate closely with our project managers, developers, and strategists to create seamless, high-converting eCommerce user journeys.

Location & Future Plans 🌍

This role is remote initially, but we are looking for candidates based in—or open to relocating to Dubai before the end of the year. This is a contract-to-hire role, with the expectation of transitioning into a full-time position within 6-9 months.

Requirements

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Work with our Head of Delivery, developers, and strategists to deliver world-class digital experiences.
  • Conduct UX design audits to identify areas for optimization and improvement.
  • Develop user personas and define customer journeys to inform digital strategy.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and UX/UI concepts for websites, landing pages, and digital platforms.
  • Support the design and execution of email templates, digital assets, and campaign materials as needed.
  • Craft documentation and deliver design systems to developers and other team members.
  • Present design concepts and solutions that inspire internal teams and clients alike.
  • Lead and participate in design sprints, ensuring efficiency and measurable outcomes.
  • Apply best practices in UX/UI design to bridge business objectives with user goals, ensuring conversion-driven experiences.
  • Proactively bring fresh perspectives and contribute to UN/COMMON’s creative process.

Hours & Contract Details ⏳

  • Freelance (Project-Based): No fixed hours initially; work will be assigned on a project-by-project basis.
  • Transition to Full-Time: We expect this role to become a full-time position within 6-9 months.
