Job Description 

 

We are looking for a determined Senior Enterprise Sales professional who can confidently articulate our value proposition to C-level and senior decision makers across the European Insurance space - front to back office. This role presents a unique opportunity to be part of the SaaS revolution we’re driving in the EMEA market and play a visible role in the growth of Clearwater’s Insurance vertical. 

 

You will be responsible for the acquisition of new clients and expansion of existing clients. With deep domain knowledge of Clearwater and/or addressable markets, you will facilitate the end-to-end sales process by identifying pain points and offering solutions in calls, demos, meetings, at conferences, and in the market. You will develop business with new clients and expand existing accounts within an established territory/product line. EMEA market contacts, knowledge of the EMEA Insurance and institutional investment landscape, and familiarity with the regulatory environment will be a strong advantage. 

  

You’ll work collaboratively with Pre-Sales, Business Development Reps, and fellow Enterprise Sales colleagues, while also managing your own prospect and client relationships independently. The ideal candidate is a hungry, self-starter who’s excited by the challenge of expanding Clearwater’s presence in the market and has experience of selling to — or working within — the Insurance and or institutional investment industry in EMEA.  

 

Top performers excel at building pipeline from scratch, exceeding quota, and solving real challenges for prospects and clients. 

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities with Insurance clients across the EMEA market. 
  • Build and manage a robust new business pipeline from prospecting through to close, while also identifying opportunities to grow and upsell existing named accounts in the region. 
  • Proactively familiarize self with market complexities and the value proposition of Clearwater 
  • Develop new accounts and/or expand existing accounts within the European market, solving complex problems throughout the sales cycle 
  • Conduct effective meetings with prospects and perform needs identification 
  • Develop and progress opportunities, closing deals in the assigned market 
  • Work in close coordination with executive management and other internal teams (Client Services, Marketing, Pre-Sales) 
  • Successfully leads complete demos on most module/report/asset class requested 
  • Active participant in the deal sheets process and ensures accurate and thorough completion  

 

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Proficient understanding of the EMEA Insurance market in EMEA, or a demonstrated ability to prospect and sell into this market. 
  • Proven record of new business hunting and exceeding net-new logo targets. 
  • Strong presentation and writing skills for client-facing activities. 
  • Ability to work independently while thriving within a team environment. 
  • High adaptability and flexibility, including the ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change. 
  • Strong negotiating skills. 

 

Desired Experience and Skills 

  • 10+ years of complex sales experience, selling SaaS or Fintech preferred.
