Position Requirements

Senior Financial Analyst, Finance Operations (Senior Analyst FP&A)

Remote with travel for connection weeks and as-needed internal meetings

Position Summary

This role is the finance lead for a designated RVP region, partnering directly with the Regional Vice President(s) of Operations and their Client Services teams. It owns forecasting, budgeting, month-end consolidated reporting, pro forma modeling, and KPI analysis for the region, and acts as the trusted financial advisor to the RVP(s) — turning operational performance into insight that shapes decisions, not just reporting on results after the fact. The RVP(s) hold accountability for the region’s P&L; this role is the finance authority who informs and drives those results and is accountable for the accuracy and timeliness of the region’s financial deliverables. The role operates with a high degree of autonomy, works cross-functionally within Finance and across the broader organization, and supports Workday Adaptive Planning, the enterprise FP&A platform.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Forecasting & Budgeting

  • Owns the region’s forecasting cycle and annual budget process, partnering with the RVP(s) and Client Services to produce accurate, timely projections and to make the process more efficient each cycle.

Month-End Close & Consolidated Reporting

  • Oversees monthly financial operations for the region — consolidated reporting, reconciliation, accruals, and payroll and expense review — ensuring an accurate, timely close.
  • Prepares the monthly executive-level financial review, citing the key drivers behind results (volume, operational, seasonal, and other metrics), and presents to the RVP(s) and C-level leadership.

Decision Support & Business Partnership

  • Serves as the trusted finance advisor to the region’s RVP(s), meeting regularly to set priorities and influence operational decisions with recommendations grounded in analysis.
  • Owns the region’s financial deliverables end to end, working with minimal oversight and holding the team to accurate, on-time output.
  • Identifies financial risks and underperformance early and partners with Client Services to build and execute turnaround plans.

Pro Forma & Financial Modeling

  • Builds pro forma models, scenarios, and strategic analyses to support operational decisions, new and expanding practices, and regional planning.

KPI Analysis & Reporting

  • Tracks practice- and unit-level performance across the region — patient volume, provider productivity, revenue and cost per unit, and practice-level margin — and identifies the operational drivers behind the trends.
  • Builds the comparative analysis and dashboards that let the RVP(s) and operators benchmark practices against each other and against plan, flag outliers, and prioritize where to intervene.
  • Connects monthly variance analysis back to these operating metrics, so financial results are explained in terms of what actually happened in the practices.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Process Improvement

  • Acts as the region’s finance point of contact across Corporate Accounting, Revenue Cycle Management, Client Services, and Business Development.
  • Champions process improvements that address regional pain points, in partnership with Corporate FP&A and Finance leadership.
  • Prepares ad-hoc analyses and reporting as requested.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
  • 5+ years in operations finance and/or FP&A.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret results and present conclusions and opportunities to senior leadership.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to make complex financial information clear to non-finance audiences.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with operational and business leaders.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and deliver accurate work under tight deadlines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Healthcare or multi-site services experience.
  • Workday Adaptive Planning (Adaptive) and Workday experience.
  • Advanced model building.
  • AI automation: Power BI and Claude to automate recurring workflows and to work through metrics, processes, and communication — treating Claude as a thought partner for understanding the numbers and explaining them clearly.

Software

  • Advanced Excel; proficiency in PowerPoint and Word.
  • Experience with financial and accounting reporting systems.

TOTAL REWARDS:

  • Salary: $88,000 – $120,000 annually

Generous benefits package, including:

  • Paid Time Off
  • Health, life, vision, dental, disability, and AD&D insurance
  • Flexible Spending Accounts / Health Savings Accounts
  • 401(k)

This high-impact role will be responsible for supporting the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. This will include supporting actionable analyses and reporting for the Corporate FP&A group and working cross-functionally within Finance and the broader organization. This role will also support Adaptive Insights, the enterprise FP&A toolkit.
