🎯 The RoleAs we continue to scale aggressively, we’re looking for a world-class Senior Software Engineer - FinTech Integrations to own and drive our checkout and payouts product stream, handling well over $100m+ per year. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on building complex systems, pushing technical boundaries, and shaping the financial backbone of a high-growth platform. As the platform continues to scale, this role is for someone who’s ambitious to scale their knowledge and experience accordingly, progressing significantly as a Principal IC or in Management.
🚀 What You’ll DoArchitecting Scalable Financial Systems: Leading the strategic design and implementation of robust financial integrations, aligning with the company’s vision of innovation and operational excellence.
Own the Checkout & Payout Experience: Build and deliver frictionless, secure, and high-converting payment and payout flows that scale globally.
Build & Evolve Financial Tooling: Design and implement fraud prevention systems, reconciliation tools, reporting dashboards, and internal admin experiences that directly influence how payments work across Fanvue.
Scale Integrations with Third Parties: Lead the adoption and optimisation of financial APIs, alternative payment methods (APMs), and payout providers, ensuring resilience, auditability, and user trust.
Developer Experience Leadership: Constantly improve the developer experience of the codebase, ensuring that financial systems are maintainable, testable, and scalable.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, design, compliance, legal, and operations to align financial systems with business priorities and regulatory requirements.
Quality & Velocity: Deliver high-quality, tested, and reliable systems at the speed of Fanvue’s growth.
Must-haves:
Technical Excellence: Expert knowledge in TypeScript, React, Node.js, and strong SQL or Postgres skills.
Payments Domain Expertise: You’ve built or scaled high-volume payment and payout systems (hundreds of thousands to millions of transactions, ideally across multiple geographies).
System Thinker: You’re comfortable designing and operating in highly complex, interdependent systems with financial, compliance, and user experience constraints.
Hands-On Engineer: A senior IC who thrives on writing code, solving technical challenges, and pushing systems forward, delivering low-latency, fault-tolerant checkout flows with resilient retry, fallback, and routing logic.
Collaborator & Communicator: Skilled at managing stakeholders (internal and external), explaining trade-offs clearly, and working cross-functionally with transparency.
High-Quality at High-Speed: You move fast without compromising on quality, rigor, or security.
Passion and High Agency: A passion for payment systems and their application to live high velocity systems with high agency to take projects end to end.
